M1 & BridgeM1

M1 is the Music Player Version of MAME. It emulates lots of Soundchips from more then 1000 Arcade Games. Recent Versions also added support for some Mega Drive / Genesis Games. That said, it also supports Playlists and Track Titles, Wave Logging, the Ability to disable single Soundchips (for example when a game uses more than one) and other nice features.

You can grab the latest Version of M1 from this link. Have a look at the forums for the latest WIP Builds.
Since M1 is a DOS Programm just like the original MAME, you might want to use a frontend. I recommend BridgeM1, which you can grab from here. You can also download the latest Listpack (adds Tracknames to lots of Sets) and the latest XML (for more game support) from there.
The Roms you need are the same ones that are used by MAME, except that only the sound data is needed. If you already have MAME Roms you can just point M1 to this directory and have fun listening
If not, google will help for sure.
