Beepers

Beepers aren’t real Chips, but in fact just Speakers built into the systems which are then fed by the CPU. They were one of the first sound generators found in Computers and early Video Game Consoles. The specs might be different depending on the system its used in. They are still in use in todays IBM-PCs and sometimes Laptops, known as PC Speakers, usually to provide error sounds. In early games they were used to provide the Game Music.
