YM2413 (OPLL)

The YM2413 was made by Yamaha and is used in the Sega Master System (though only in Japan). It was also available as an Extension to the Sega SG-1000 Mark 3 and was included in the MSX-Music Expansion for the MSX Computers. As for Synthesizer Keyboards, it was used inside the Yamaha PSR-6. It is otherwise known as the OPLL (OPL Light).

- 1 Instrument can be altered by the user, using a maximum of 2 Waveforms for the synthesis.
- 15 other Instruments are hard-coded and cannot be altered.

Special Applications
- The Capcom Mitchell Arcade Hardware used the YM2413 together with an OKI MSM6295 for the SFX.
- Inside the japanese Sega Master System, you had both the YM2413 aswell as an SN76489.

Emulation
The VGM Format
- The VGM Format is a logable Format for YM2413 Music that can easily be replayed on modern Computers. Rips are known to exist for the Sega Master System and the SG-1000. One of the largest Music Archives is the VGM Archive from SMS Power.
Others
- KSS | MSX-Music Soundtracks can be ripped into the KSS Format, which is for example playable in Hoot.
- Arcade | The Music of the Capcom Mitchell Hardware is emulated through M1. M1 is a music player which is based on MAME and thus supports a lot of Arcade Games. More about M1 can be found here.

Any idea where I can buy this add-on for the Sage Mark III? I recently bought the console and keyboard, brand new old stock for £100 and now want to collect all the accessories.
